12″ 3 Fuller Hunting & Bushcraft  Khukuri | Authentic Military Kukri

This is 12″ 3 Fuller Hunting & Bushcraft  Khukuri | Authentic Military Kukri by Ex Gurkha Khukuri House. This khukuri (also called Kukri or Khukri by many people outside Nepal) is hand forged from highly graded 5160 carbon steel with balanced oil-quenching temper. The semi-polished and has 3 fuller (Chiras) on the blade. The fuller on the blade helps to reduce the extra weight of the blade. There is a rat tail handle made from water buffalo horn and is 6-inch in length. The scabbard is made from pinewood wrapped in refined water buffalo leather. 

The khukuri is effective as a chopping and slashing knife. While most famed for its use in the military, the khukuri is also one of the most commonly used multipurpose tools in the fields and homes in Nepal. It is very popular & common tool used in the Nepalese households.

There is a notch (kaura or kaudi) in the blade near the hilt of the khukuri that serves as a conduit for the blood to drip out from the blade, thus preventing it from soiling the hilt, as well as a place for catching and neutralizing an enemy blade.
